Mum's good PET scan results

joeychenI called my mum not 5 mins before she was planning on calling me! She had a PET scan yesterday, and just got back very good results.
The PET scan measures the 'activity' of any tumours, because sometimes the other kinds of scans they do will show a tumour, but it could just be the dead tissue of a tumour.
So she didn't have any activity! So she continues to be No Evidence of Disease.
She went off the Thalidomide (we would have preferred she stay on at a lower dose, but hey, it's her decision, and I know it made her feel like total crap) and she's starting to feel pretty good and peppy.
