Mmmmm, new things

I went off to Borders nearby at lunch today and got their last copy of Pad Parties.
Also picked up the new Dido cd which I am listening to now. It's really nice, I love listening to her voice. It's got a secret track too at the end of the last one which is always fun.
I also got a huge beading book - it's 4 books they've combined in one big one. Including a book on beaded flowers which is cool. I've made a couple before, they're fun, they just take a lot of threading sead beads onto wire.

Also picked up some black fun fur. My friend's 4 year old had an unfortunate hair cutting incident at kindy yesterday. She had snipped a little bit of her hair, then a classmate decided to chop the rest of her hair off! The teachers really should have been watching them more carefully if they were doing something that involved scissors. I emailed that I would make her a little furry hair hat :)

if i may horn in, Pad Parties is cool! good recipes (i recommend the Sweet Satan's Seed party mix; YUM!) and some ambitious craft/decor things (i haven't made any of those yet).

I had a simler inccident in school,although my Mom cleaverly made the cut into a bob with bangs,the other girl was not so fortunate,I cut her a nice chunck right from the top!THat's sweet of you to make her a hat!

Well, I saw the 4 year old, not as bad as I was expecting. Pigtails (the daily style) are still totally possible, but they definately are shorter. And the back in the middle is cut all short.
I'm using this nice chunky yarn and the hat is almost half done already, yay for little heads!
