Well, I didn't get started to after noon on Sunday, but I have now officially started on my art truck. I am probably high on the spray glue fumes now. Ha Ha
I have almost finished the roof of the camper shell. My aim to have finished before Saturday is to do the entire camper shell, and the roof of the cab. That way next Saturday when I have crafty friends to help, we will work on the back, sides and hood.
I also velcroed the CB into place, and fixed the holder for the mike.
Glad I'll have some crafty girl help on Sat, I need advice on how to decorate and affix the fabric inside the camper shell. And where all the trim will look best.
I don't think I'll have time to do much to the inside of the cab, but I did find a place where I could purple swirly fabric seat covers, with a matching dash mat, so I think I'll get a quote on that.
I'm contemplating doing the hood entirely in faux fur, but I think I'll leave the hood till last, then lay the furs out to see how it would look. The side mirrors will definately have their backs done with purple faux fur, just like the scooter.
A map of Australia also needs to be incorporated somewhere. I don't think I have one on fabric tho, so will have to think about that. Maybe I can sew up some sort of felt applique panel or something. Driver's door would be a good location for that.
