we had a great time in Klamath Falls, it was nice to go somewhere where there wasn't that much to do, as it meant that we did plenty of relaxing!
Mum is doing OK on her drugs (I haven't really mentioned it, but her kidney cancer spots in her lungs are big enough to treat, one is growing faster than the others and she's needed to start treatment), the typical side effects, but nothing too unmanageable, but she is tired a lot.
Lava Beds was fun, went down into quite a few caves. Also had really good italian food, there's a hidden gem restarant in KFalls, woo!

We did go see Australia of course! It was fun, although I was hoping for more out of it. It was like two movies, the first half was campy, but kinda not good campy, it just didn't seem to fit that much. There were also some weird effects where you could tell it was like a fake background, and I was thinking, Dude, you filmed up in the Top End, you had the beautiful locations, what's with weird look! Anyway, overall it was good. It wasn't like I couldn't NOT see it! :)

NPR interviewed Hugh Jackman about it and the host really started pressing him about how he had originally planned to be a radio journalist and maybe he'd consider becoming a correspondent for them? Which seems kind of pointless because even if she'd convinced him to do all his stories shirtless, it's radio after all.

heh, actually the shirtless scene in the movie was kind of the worst campy scene in the whole movie, it just didn't do it for me!
