joeychenMonday and yesterday (Friday) I hung out with my artcar friend in Pacifica, and particularly yesterday, we did massive amounts of work on my truck. Decided to stay later till after traffic broke up.
the glue work on the sides is now like 99% complete!!! Woo! Just need to check for pieces that popped off since I started, and fill in any spots that can take a small item.
That's the truck, and also the sides of the camper shell. It looks sooooo good!!! Can't wait for the most recent glue to completely set so I can wash off the chalk marks.
I can now start my experimentations for the roof treatment - some black silicone roof spikes. Kind of hershey kiss-like silicone poufs that will be flexible and can be brushed with the hand for a bit of tactile.
With all the work yesterday, did manage to inflict upon my middle finger tip on my left hand some nerve damage/numbness from all the glue gunning, heh.
Got up waaay to early to be in the city by 7:30am for a kidney cancer patient survivor day seminar. Started at 9am, but went in early in case any help was need, and I toted some boxes. Got some good drug company loot, lotsa pens, coffee mug, notepads, chapsticks, bags, stapler, wireless mouse (dude!). Got some loot for mum as well, and of course for her all the literature. She'll be done for her next appt in May, so will hand that over then.
Drank too much coffee there, so I feel tired, yet a little whigged out. Luckily Chris is out picking up nice yet cheap take out sushi for dinner, yum.
Tomorrow, cleaning and grocery shopping, meh. Will have to fit in a walk as well, as it's supposed to beautiful again tomorrow. The in-laws arrive Monday, and will be here for a week. The den is sorted out closet-wise at least, did that earlier this week.
Yay for a basement where all manner of crap can be stashed in the meantime.
