Leaving work early

joeychenI'm leaving work an hour early to go to my 3 month follow up eye appt. It's pathetic how excited I am about this.
I'll find out if I need touch up surgery (please no!) or glasses or if my vision is acceptable now. Hopefully the latter!
Work can be so frustrating. I feel like I'm always forgetting things. But on the other hand, the things I'm forgetting are issues that I've emailed people about for information, and then they never get back to me! If they don't get back to me, then it falls off my radar screen, cause in the meantime there's a bunch of other issues that have now jumped forward.
Sigh.
So my coworker has pushed her surgery forward to April 24th, my other coworker is going in for some treatment possibly next week. So I get to take on a lot of their stuff, eek! Of course I want to take a week off while they're both out as well!
The managers know about it already though, so they'll just have to figure it out and deal with it.
They'll figure out either
a) how much work we do indeed do for them
b) that they can get along just fine without us
c) some combination of a & b
In the meantime, I need to write up some updated procedures for what I do.
