Inlaws, mmm

My inlaws arrive tomorrow, around 11am, and then we are driving straight up to Gold Country for a couple of days, back Monday night.
Crap, I better find a couple of books to read for the drive.

They are staying for a week. Not staying with us, thank goodness! I like my inlaws, but it's always somewhat stressful, gotta be on good behaviour etc.
One of Mr jo's cousins that I've never met just moved to the area recently, so we'll all go out to dinner one night with their family. Too many people to have at our place, 6 adults and 2 kids.
I don't know what else his folks wanna do. They did somewhat stuff up my plans of driving down to San Diego for Labour Day weekend tho. Still, Mum and Dad are gonna fly up to see us for the Art Car Festival.
You'd think that would get me started on my truck, but no, not yet. Maybe I will be able to start on Labour Day Monday once my inlaws leave. I gotta find out when they're outta here.

Where are you going? I love, love, love Nevada City. You should go to the Empire Mine. My favorite perfume store is in Nevada City. It's called Vitae & it's fabu. Sale table in back as well. If y'all are up for natural beauty, the Yuba is the prettiest river I have ever seen. Oh & you can take 49 to Tahoe, I think, that's a nice drive.

I love NC too, that's where mr jo and I stayed when we went a couple of years ago. this time we're just staying the best western in Placerville. Still it's supposed to be hot, and it has a pool, so that's nice.
I think we'll be going up to NC tho, and I want a pasty from the pasty shops in Grass valley. I'll keep an eye out for Vitae, I could do with a cool unique parfume.
His folks like wineries and antique shops, so we'll probably do a lot of that.

If you go to Tahoe, you won't see much leaf changin' the trees are mostly evergreens or pines. I would say that Gold Country would be a better bet... or here in Sacramento, Tree City.

Hopefully so, I'm not sure when they've booked their tickets for, I'll try and get them to fly out late so they can go to that.
