Another day, no news

I feel so lame, obsessing about this. I hate that I'm getting so negative about my current job. I know I should buck up, and work better and stop whinging about what is really a pretty good job. (Especially as the crap that goes on here is really just the same old crap that would happen at any other job, and several of you guys are facing layoffs, so who am I to complain!)

No news yet. I tried to restrict myself to checking messages once an hour.
So, trying to be optimistic, I'm surmising that seeing as the hiring board meeting was Tuesday. Today they had to get all the final paperwork signed and approved before they could start calling people.
Sounds reasonable!

when i was applying for my current job, they didn't call on the day they were supposed to call, and i was totally bummed (i'd been checking my messages about every hour too). it turned out the woman was just really busy and she ended up calling me on sunday night. it was perfect timing--i put my notice in on monday. so don't despair!! and try to get yourself away from phones as much as possible. :)

i'm going through the same thing you are. waiting sucks, and yah the prospect of a better job out there does make where i am now seem pretty crappy, esp. since i've been working until about 2am this week.

good luck with your new job! i hope you get it!

jangrl. :)

thanks you guys!
I wish I could get away from the phone. But my job pretty much consists of sitting at my computer, right next to my phone :)
Ah well, I think I'm doing OK if I keep it to just once an hour.
