Beer and Bugs House Party, Tues Nov 21

Hi All,
here's the info on the Beer and Bugs party that's going to be at my
place next Tues. Edited a bit from what Don originally sent out to
remove the events that have already happened.

You're probably thinking, Ick, bugs, but it's actually really
fascinating. Don knows so much about them all, and always has an
interesting story about the insect, or how he obtained it, no matter
which one you point at. There are also plenty of pretty butterfly and
jewel coloured beetles to look at for the easily icked out :)

I'll have some snacks and drinks (leftovers from our party, haha),
and feel free to bring anything you want in particular or to share.
If you want dinner, there's a great Vietnamese place within walking
distance, and some Chinese places that are a mile away, if you want
to get some take out.
Don't need to RSVP, just show up!

It's time for the third annual Insect Safari West Coast Tour!
Entomologist Don Ehlen will be displaying his extensive collection of
exotic insects at various venues in Oregon and California.

The collection is the result of 26 years of collecting, trading and
purchases and is used primarily to educate school children in Western
Washington.
Why should the kids have all the fun? Come and check out what is
(probably) the largest traveling insect exhibit in the U.S.
You will see over 3000 professionally prepared specimens, beautifully
displayed in 30 Cornell University drawers.
Spectacular butterflies, huge beetles, grasshoppers, wasps, spiders...
any bug you can think of ... and many you've never imagined.

There is no admission fee and all are welcome. Bring your friends.
There will be materials to make your own bug-art at Bay Area venues.
Be
sure to bring your camera and take photos of your favorite bugs.

Dude, you always have the coolest stuff happening at your place, but it's gotten even cooler ever since I crossed the Atlantic! I guess having a house does that. This sounds like so much fun.

That seems so cool. I could probably make it, but I am not driving to the bay area again this month. I have hit my limit.

Have fun.
