Things to do in Seattle?

Any suggestions for things to do in Seattle?
Definately will go to Pike Market, and then was thinking of strolling around Fremont, Capitol Hill and U Districts.
Any other ideas? Are the tulip fields up north still in bloom? Is that worth seeing?
We will have Friday and Saturday for sightseeing etc.
Tuesday travelling to Portland, Wed and Thurs morning seeing Portland, and Thurs afternoon Shipwreck beads, and driving up to Seattle.

the aquarium (it's really close to pike market) is decent. they have a gigantic octopus, and a smaller, very beautiful octopus. they also have a some river otters that are so adorable they make me want to vomit from cuteness overlead. they're in a pretty decent habitat, so it's not sad watching them. and you can touch various sea critters in a little fake tidepool area.

there's a super nice yarn/weaving/spinning store in the "university" area of Seattle called Woodland Woolworks.

my dad's family lives in the Tacoma area, and if you go through Tacoma, it's worth it to stop at the museum of glass (glass museum?). they have a live glassblowing display, and some really nice exhibits of glass and other art. when we were there they had a kind of zoetrope on display that was literally the most amazing thing i've seen in my life. it's supposed to be there through may, and i VERY VERY highly recommend stopping to see it. http://www.museumofglass.org/s01_installation.jsp is the info about that

really. it was the most beautiful, mesmerizing thing. i sat on the floor watching it for half an hour, and i gladly could have sat there all day.

Tacoma!

Just wanted to add that my friend went to that museum this summer while she was living in Olympia b/c one of her dad's pieces is in the permanant collection. She totally raved about how it's one of the best museums she's been to (besides having her dad's art in the collection).

And Tacoma gets cred for being dusty old jewel in the South Puget Sound
