May. 28th, 2008 10:52 pm well, summer has officially started, had a missionary Mormons sighting earlier in the evening.
I think I'm getting a cold. Sigh, I don't know what's up with me, it always seems to be something with me lately. The food poisoning last week, the back. Gotta say tho, my back is feeling so much better! Hopefully a good night's sleep will help.
Friday night was our 4th anniversary party for SF Scooter Girls, it went well, although less people than last year. My artcar friend who works in a food broker type place got a bunch of cheese donated for us, which everyone loved, so that was good.
Sat morning was resurgam's graduation, which was awesome!!! I love graduations, it so wonderful to see the end result of all these people's work and dedication, and their families, friends and professors all proud of them.
Sat afternoon I went into the city for the Mod's vs Rockers motorcycle and scooter rally. It was kind of crazy this year with the ride splitting up (the leaders really hauled arse) at points, minor fracas, accident, arrest, cops, short tunnel time etc. Still pretty fun tho!
Sunday I loafed during the day, sleeping in till 11. Not waking up at 7 then going back to sleep till 11, but literally sleeping till 11! Sunday evening I went out to dinner with resurgam and familia, which was really nice, especially with Chris still in China. After that resurgam, her sister and I looked for the Golden Compass in two video stores and on pay per view movies to no avail, so then we watched Music and Lyrics instead, which was cute. We did this over at my place, yay for big sofa and tv!
Monday, more loafing, and laundry
Tues, resurgam and I scooter into the city for lunch with dazzlynn at the Ferry plaza. We then went to Imagiknit where I found what I wanted, a booklet with a pattern for plain toe up socks and I got some size 2 addis to do the socks with. Won't be starting that yet, but will be in the future. Haven't ever made socks before, so hopefully will go ok! I just want to do plain socks, no lace, patterns whatever. Then we zipped over to Noe Valley bakery to get some cupcakes, which we took back to her place, where we did a bit of sorting for her packing. More of that to happen on Thursday.
Today, due to the cold's appearance, again more loafing. With a quick trip up the street to get some bread to have with my dinner, cherries for desert, and to bank a cheque. Oh, I did vacuum and clean the bathroom a bit.
Chris is back on Friday, YAY! There was a danger he might have to stay another week (which would have made it 3!) but with problems with the product, the schedule has been pushed out, and he's coming home! I'll be picking him up Friday morning.
