Jan. 16th, 2008 05:39 pmhaving a better week this week, guess I'm getting used to this lolling about the house, haha. I am trying to get out of the house once a day, and that is making things better.
Still haven't heard from any of the jobs I've sent off info to, but still hiring can take a couple of weeks before they contact you, no matter how fabulously suited I would be to the job :)
Am pretty busy this week, a little scattered, and kinda putting off some things I need to get done, so they need to be done for sure tomorrow. I need to make lamingtons from the cake I have already baked up, and I need to make a pumpkin lassa soup that I have the ingredients for.
I did some cleaning in the den today, and filed the last 6 months of paperwork that had been piling up. I also sorted thru all the cards and miscellanea that were in two wooden letter/paper organisers, and can now get rid of those/find a home for them.
I would love to do some more work in the den, but waaaaah, Chris is leaving for China this Friday :(
He's being dreadfully sweet and coming back Friday the 25th, the day before my Aussie Day party, yay!
I can't do much more in the den (well, bar all my craft stuff, haha, but that's not as bad as his stuff) cause I need to go thru all his stuff with him.
We had a nice weekend. Sat we drove up to Petaluma and checked out QPP's StitchCraft space - NICE! Then we went out to lunch with QPP, always a pleasure!
Sun, Chris went into work, and I went over to my friends place to keep her company while she watched the Charger's game, and they won, woo for her! haha. I knitted. Sun evening we went to the El Cerrito theatre for a friend's b'day and watched the Maltese Falcon. That movie is kinda complicated, I don't think I caught everything that was going on, but of course it didn't help that I was nodding off at one point.
Yesterday I went over to my ArtCar friend's place, and we took her dog out to the dog park, which was really fun! It was fun to see all the doggies running around, and it was right down at the water with a gorgeous view. After that back at her place we did some planning for a 5-7 day trip we are going to do early Feb to drive down to So Cal to see some folk art places, and go to a gallery shop opening in Joshua Tree. We'll do a fair bit of camping (at the National park and some RV places, so nothing free) so should keep the lodging costs down, gas will be a bitch tho! It will be nice to do a little road trip tho.
