Nov. 22nd, 2006 01:26 pmSo, am happy to report that yesterday I had my traditional question of wether we celebrate TG in Australia. Oh dear.
Another popular question is if have something similar in Australia, fair question, but no. Closest equivalent would be Xmas, in terms of familial gathering.
They do at least generally follow it up by asking if I celebrate it now. Sometimes I see my parents, but not always, and they don't expect us, but enjoy it if we visit for TG.
I tell people it's my favourite American holiday, cause I'm actually not obligated to do family stuff (unless it's a Quinn Xmas year, in which case I have ended up in Houston for TG)
