Ginger Altoids

Who was it that's always looking for Ginger altoids, I picked up a couple of tins at my local TJ's and can send them on to whomever you are.

Art Car Truck party?

So when might be a good time to have a Help Jo Work on her Art Car Truck Party?
Saturday or Sunday?
1st, 2nd or 3rd weekend in September?
I will provide all equipment and spray adhesive, and also food and drinks.

*edited to add some info. I will hopefully have made some kind of start by the time of the party, so you know what I'm going for. But it's basically cutting up all the scrap fabric I have, so that it pieces together (cutting it as we go, ie pick a piece of fabric, decide where to glue it, cut to fit, glue it on) and gluing it on the truck. Then the seams will be covered by this black twill ribbon I have.

5 year award

So my company does 5 and 10 year service awards, a cheque and a cheesy certificate. But a while ago they stopped that, pissing most of us in the process. But they appear to have brought it back. My supervisor Laurie told me that she got an email from HR telling her to expect stuff for me, and that she should 'present' it to me once it arrive in interoffice. We both laughed at that.
What with our bonus cheques on Friday's payday, maybe the universe is telling me I need a new sofa?
Intriguing, still, I haven't found one that I love yet.

Visit from my Mum and Dad

Mum sent me the flight details for them coming the last weekend in September for Art Car Fest visit, yay!
They are leaving Monday morning, so they will be at the How Berkeley Can You Be parade on Sunday, and of course the San Jose Museum of Art event on Saturday. So any of youse that can make it to those things will get to meet my goofy parents.
