M&M the racing piggy at the County Fair

Went to the Alameda County Fair with some of the girls today. We saw pig races, and got our picture taken with M&M who was a very sweet pig.
We were going to have our pic taken with Snoop Hoggy Hogg, but he was *not* a happy piggy. I can clearly understand now, where the expression squealing like a stuck pig comes from. Oy!
It was pretty funny actually, cause he ran off, and someone watching caught him. We then went for a calmer pig.

Nice long weekend

Good weekend, didn't do everything I should have, but I feel pretty rested. And, best of all, I'm taking Thurs and Fri off next week, so how bad can next week at work be!

Thurs, did very little. Had a facial, checked out the new Whole Foods in San Mateo. In the evening, went to see Legally Blonde 2 with my friend. We went to the 10:25pm show, so she wouldn't feel guilty about having her hubby watch their little girl. It worked out well, we'll have to try that again some Fri night. I also finished my birthday present for afroflighty

Fri, I loafed on the sofa till about 4pm. Then we went over to our friends for a bbq, and then drove over to their new house to see the Redwood City fireworks. They have a perfect view from their balcony. It was really nice.

Sat, again, not much. In the afternoon went to the bookshop to get a gift card for a friend's birthday and also got a Jamba juice. I went to Movie Groove for the first time, which is a very superior video shop in RWC. Got a brit film I had wanted to see (Fever Pitch) but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Then we went over to our friend's birthday party, which was nice, just lowkey.

Sun, went over to the Alameda County Fair with windup, applehangover, afroflighty, guhrrrl and Mr jo. Nice time, weather was good, not super hot. Had some kettle corn, and a hawaiian ice. Resisted temptation to buy nifty gadgets on display, "won" a little stuffed monkey (guaranteed winner, $5 a go!) Mr jo and I didn't stay for KC and the Sunshine band, lines were just too long waiting to get in, and I'm not particularly enthused about him anyway.
