Pride parade was great as usual. My friend C and I had a blast on the ride. We run into the nice girl that had rode next to us last year. I encouraged C to get her email address (to send her the digital photo we took of her and Clara) but then she mentioned a boyfriend :( Bummer, wanted to hook her up with C ;)
Still, I really like that so many women come out to ride, Dykes or not, it's got such a great vibe to it.
I'll have to see if I have time to be a volunteer next year.
We had some excitement during the parade, further up ahead a women pulled a wheelie (a big no-no) and did it on the tracks (uh, whoops!) so she fell off her bike and broke her leg. We all stopped for about 15 mins while they dealt with that.
The festival was fun, collected free stuff, lots of condoms and lube, a cd, clown noses, mints, Legally Blond poster and sunscreen. Made some donations here and there.
The weather was pretty nice, cool for the ride, got sunny for the festival, a slight bit of sunburn on my nose and cheeks.
The ride to and from the city was OK, hadn't been on my bike since last year! My brake light is out. I want to try and take the bike in for some brake and shock work, maybe new tyres too before the September Art Car Fest.
I didn't take many pics, just really C and me on my bike (whilst waiting for the ride to start), but will post a couple if they're nice.
