Grrrr

I haven't wanted to comment too much on the war issues, because yes, I am anti-war, I still feel like I don't know enough of the info to say a lot about it.
But this really irritated me, so I'm gonna rant about it.
I was just listening to BBC World Today on NPR, and they were playing some messages from Americans about the war. This lady in Miami said she supported Bush, even though she was didn't like the idea of war, cause she was anti-terrorist. She said that she was originally from New York, her family was there, and she knew 'many' people that died on 9/11 (which personally sounded like gross exaggeration to me). She claimed that the rest if the world didn't know what it felt like to be the victim of this horrible terrorist attack, and they don't understand why we have to do this, blah blah, boo hoo hoo.
What a bunch of scheisse!
Hellooo! Um, IRA bombings, Palestinian and Israeli bombings, India/Pakistan conflict, various events all over Europe, Asia, Africa. The Bali bombings that affected Australia much more per capita of population then did 9/11.
Her blind assumption that no other country has had to endure such an event.

God, wake up and smell the Sanka sweetheart.

I live in NYC now (and did then) and I find myself weirdly pissed off at people like that woman, who use the terrorist attacks as a reason for this war.

That means there really are people stupid enough to buy into Bush's "logic" that the terrorist attacks mean we should go to war against Iraq. *shakes head in disbelief*
