Long weekend, thank goodness!

It's Memorial weekend here in the US, Monday off, yay!
What are the yanks all doing this weekend?

Mr jo and I are driving down to San Diego tonight to spend the weekend with Mum and Dad. Where they will show off their new Yank passports they just got. They got sworn in as citizens a few weeks ago. Mum is feeling a lot better now that she's just taking the Thalidomide and not the IL 2. the Thalidomide just makes her really sleepy at night. I think Mr jo and I might hit the Oceanside swap meet tomorrow. I don't want to spend too much time inside the house, due to the cat allergies.

This week at work sucked big time, I have a lot to do, and havent' done a lot of it, mostly due to my own procrastination. My coworker who has been out on medical leave the last 4 weeks should be back on Tuesday, thank gawd. She traditionally deals with all the fiddly tricky bits, which I loathe, while I do the regular day to day stuff.

Have fun on your trip and glad to hear that your Mum is doing better. Thalidomide? I think my dog is on that as well for his condition, but I may be confusing it with a drug with a similiar sounding name. Anyhow, it definitely does not make him sleepy at night - just pestering me for more food!

I'd love to be anywhere close to the ocean, but I'm being a slacker this weekend. Just going to one friend's college graduation and another friend's barbeque. Otherwise, cleaning, sleeping, swimming, & doing yoga.

You did get the e-mail about RRanch, right? It looks like my dad will be getting the second endadectomy at the beginning of July, so that kind of wipes out the entire month for me going anywhere. You will be unchallenged in the beer belching content (unless Roxanne can step up to the plate!)

Ocean, mmm. You can see the ocean from Mum and Dad's, it's a 10-15 min walk away.
Bummer you can't make the ranch trip, but seeing as how fun our previous trips have been I'm sure we'll keep going on them!
