thermarest camping pads??

does anyone have one of these? Or a thermarest equivalent? I want to get one of the pretty cushy car camping types, probably the base camp model.
Are those self inflating mats good for camping? We'd be using them either in a tent, or in the truck.
How are they for side sleepers, or is it pretty much best for back sleeping?
I'm thinking I could get one, and look into making a fleece liner for it, that I could pop it into.

I have one too. And they are narrow. But

1) i sleep in a mummy bag which limits my movement. and

2) i am a side sleeper as well. I sleep with my body on it, and my legs off.

I do like it. It's quite a bit more squishy than the thickness of it would make you think. And it is nice to not have to blow them up.

they're $$ tho. If you're not looking for backpacking quality I'd bet you could get something much cheaper.
