Nice weekend

I had a good weekend. Although I guess listing it, it doesn't seem like I did huge amounts of things, I felt like I got a lot accomplished.
We're practically finished with 'redoing' our den. The furniture's all set, we took the TV done to my dance instructors place for the studio. Chris went through all his stuff that was on the shelf. We put that shelf down in our storage locker, and it made the locker a lot easier to get to things.
Took the small file cabinet night stand and dresser up to the city Sat morning. Went to a friend's birthday party in the late afternoon. It was fun even though I didn't know anyone till another dance friend of mine showed up. But there was a quite drunk gay guy who kept us all amused! Stayed up late last night doing a few crafts. A decoupaged switchplate for the dance studio, and a wooden box that I painted dark green, and put green hued postage stamps on the lid. I soft flocked the inside too.
This morning I slept in past noon, which was lovely. Took the TV down, and tonight went over to my kinda cousins place for tea (dinner to you yanks) with him and his wife. They are moving back to Australia at the end of the month, not by choice, they both got laid off. I'm so bummed they're leaving, it was nice having some extended family here.
Well, gotta go find a good gumbo recipe, we're hosting our Tues night Buffy get-together this week

my best friend's hubby is a brit, so i've gotten used to people saying "tea" for dinner. i like it. where i'm from, it's called "supper", and "dinner" means LUNCH. so cornfusing.

Mmmm Gumbo

Sounds like good weekend. The gumbo sounds wonderful but I suspect that I will be wiped out from my trip. Guess I'll have a better idea on Monday as to what I'm up to.
