What I didn't do yesterday

I know some of you wanted to see a pic of my lovely nose piercing, and I tried. I even took some shots, and loaded them onto the computer. But my skin looked so bad, I just couldn't bring myself to post them. Ha ha, how lame is that. Hopefully this weekend I'll have a better one I can post.
I didn't glue anything on the truck last night. I don't why I thought I would work on it during the week, I'm generally so pooped after I get home from work. But I did put on the seat covers, dash mat and steering wheel cover. They all seem like they will need some breaking in time, and hopefully they will mold themselves a bit better after being in place a while. I also went thru the fabric a bit and pulled out some good pieces to glue on next. That should make the work a bit easier.
I am determined to work on it tonight tho, and I tend to stay up later Fri nights. I think I can convince Mr jo to come and keep me company for a while too.

Friday Five

1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?

No, it's not the same name. When I got married I moved my birth surname to my middle name, and then took his surname

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

I never liked my middle name (Louise, no offense to any Louise-likers out there, it's just not for me) So when I got married I figured I'd take that opportunity to ditch it, ha ha.
I do love Quinn tho, so wanted to keep that, I just picked up another Irish last name anyway.

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

Apparently Mum & Dad just liked the name. I woulda been Andrew if I was a boy, which is my favourite boy's name.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

I really like Vera (it was my maternal Grandmother's name). Old-fashioned, yet quite sassy. If I ever have kids, and a girl, she's totally gonna be a Vera.

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it?

Eh, somewhat but aren't those things fairly general anyway, and could apply to what most people think of themselves?

Groan, this day is long

Is it 5pm yet? I can't wait to boogie outta here. The Honda shop called, my bike is ready to pick up, yay!
Pity it's gonna be 100 degrees F when I ride it home!
It's supposed to be hot tomorrow, so wear cool clothes for NLP and truck decorating.
How are you for fans [livejournal.com profile] resurgam and [livejournal.com profile] windup? Should I bring another up for tomorrow?

Winter Retreat

I've had a look at the various other Sea ranch sites, I couldn't find another house that's as big, as cheap and has the all important hot tub. So despite the scary 80's decor, I think the Camodeca house we stayed at is the best choice.
I also really liked going on the Martin Luther King Jr weekend. Of course it helps me, cause I get that Monday off! But I liked to be able to drive up Sat am, rather than Friday night, and then come back Monday.
I think we will be OK with more than 10 people too, 'sneaking' a few extra shouldn't be a problem. Just one car can park and pick up the key at the office in Gualala. Just can't have too many cars there, so no empty seats.
Anyone have anything to add to this?
There is also the Ranch down in the Sequioas we can go to, after summer I can take up to 20 guests I believe. It's a min 5 hour drive to get there tho.
Like last year, I'm happy to front the deposit money, but I would need a cheque from you if you want to go by the end of December.
I could book it in early October? Is that too early to start thinking about it?
