What a nice day
I've just had a really nice day. Got me some hubby lovin this morning, woohoo!
Then we went to the new movie theatre up in San Mateo and saw Chicago (which I enjoyed), then went to my favorite Sushi restaurant (Sushi Sams) for an early dinner.
We walked over to Draegers after that and each picked out a yummy desert (choc mousse cake for me!) Also stopped by the fun Japanese grocery and I got my fave little Japanese chocolates.
Then, when we got home, I got my Instyle, Budget Travel and yes, Readymade magazine!
Plus, there was an awesome birthday package from Elfchick, she's such a sweetie. I gotta look up when her b-day is, so that I have plenty of time to plan something nice for her.
I didn't do the things I planned to do today, but that's OK. We were going to go to an electronics or car stereo place to look at car stereos with CD players - that's what I told Mr jo he could get me. Also did not not move around all the furniture in the den, and cut down his computer desk. I *did* come up with a cunning plan though, last night, on how to rearrange the furniture. At a furniture store in San Mateo, I saw the coolest desk type piece though. The centre bit had drawers on one side, and some shelves on the other. Then there were big flaps on each side of that, that you could lift up to make the desk bigger (supported by a hinged upright on a wheel), and the whole thing was on wheels. It looked like it would be the most awesome craft desk - you could fold it down small when you weren't using it, and very big when all folded out.
But, it was $600 (and is only wood veneer)! Maybe I'll keep an eye out for something similar, but cheaper. Cause the concept was great.
